I’m Rachel Pope – Listing Specialist for Jean Scott Homes. I hope you, your family and friends are staying safe and healthy during these times.
While this pandemic is unlike anything we have ever faced before, it has now become our new daily reality. I know there are some people out there that NEED to sell their homes right now for various reasons. I want you to know that real estate is deemed an essential service and we are still working and have put precautions into place to ensure you and your family’s safety through this difficult time.
We have partnered with our photographer to get 3D photo-images of each room in the home so you can see completely every room in its entirety. In addition, I am doing a video walkthrough of each listing, where I show the layout, all the ins-and-outs, and every detail that you would see if you were there yourself. Your listing will look virtually the same online as it does physically in person – with a complete write-up, set of professional photographs, list of upgrades, and all other pertinent information.
When a buyer wants to see your home is where things get a little stricter and more procedural.
First, we send the video walkthrough and 3D images to the buyer’s agent. If the buyer still likes what they see, we require a pre-approval letter and several questions from the CDC to be answered. Only after this screening do we proceed with an in-home showing with restrictions and precautions. We want to ensure that if you are allowing a buyer into your home during this time that they are serious, approved buyers that have passed screening questions to reduce the risk to you and your family.
We know this is not the ideal time for anyone to buy or sell a home, but sometimes we cannot help the timing of things. It is our promise to you that we will do everything in our power to protect you and your family and get your home sold in the quickest and safest way possible.
If you have any more questions about what we have put into place to protect our home sellers, do not hesitate to reach out. Stay safe and healthy out there!
