During 2017, Orlando’s Housing Markets are both raising prices and increasing home sales compared to 2016. The most notable trend for the year was the consistent decline in inventory of available homes for sale.
The annual median price of a home in Orlando in 2017 was $220,000, which is a healthy 10% jump compared to 2016. A total of 37,158 homes sold during the year – an increase of almost 4% compared to last year. The limited number of homes available for sale in Orlando resulted in a challenging year for would-be buyers who have limited options to select from. Compared to December of last year, the number of homes in the market has dropped by 12% with only 7,508 homes currently available for sale.
