During the last month of 2020, the Orlando housing market remained strong with increased sales and home prices. Inventory on the other hand dropped once again compared to last year. A total of 3,672 homes sold during the month, a tally that is 21% more than the 3,033 sales in December 2019.
The median price of an Orlando home sold in December 2020 was $275,000, which is a 10% increase compared to the same month last year.
Would be buyers continue to be challenged by the limited number of home available for sale in Orlando. Compared to December 2019 the number of homes on the market decreased by 31% while compared to last month there are 13% fewer properties available. There are currently 4,875 homes listed for sale.
