Carillon Elementary School, located centrally to Oviedo’s prime neighborhood of the same name, has grown a world of opportunity for young children in the Oviedo area. Serving well over 1,000 students, Carillon works on guiding their students to be capable, well-connected, and contributing members of the community. Intertwined through their school systems and structures, there are ample opportunities for children to build character and strong friendships with one another.
Students and parents alike, as surveyed by SCPS, have stated they love the curriculum, the opportunities, and the environment provided by the school.
Carillon focuses on connecting students with one another and building a ‘culture of excellence through technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and science.’ In theme with their mascot, The Comets, they’ve also created school-wide groups called Orbits, each with their own space-themed name based on the very shuttles that NASA used to further humanity’s journey into space.
