Located along the scenic route of Oviedo’s downtown district, you’ll find the quietly nestled Jackson Heights Middle School. Located in an “A” rated school district, JHMS guides children from grades 6-8 and nurtures curiosity, success, and community. Once they’ve completed their education at Jackson, depending on their zoning, will either go to Oviedo High School or Hagerty High School.

“Our mission is to personalize education for individual student success.”

Along with their notably high PSAT scores, JHMS also offers children the abilities to go above and beyond their regular school courses with high school credited courses, such as Spanish 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry Honors, and Ecology. The school’s science scores remain extremely high compared to others in Florida, sitting proudly at 25th in the state. The school also has an extremely competitive state, national, and world robotics team.

The JHMS performing arts is also a competitive force to be reckoned with. At their Districts competition, their solo and ensemble band performances received a combined 218 Superiors, the highest rank you can receive.
