How to Obtain a Florida Real Estate License

Florida Real Estate License

Florida approved; 63-hour real estate course is required. A couple schools we recommend are Climer and IFREC Cost is $295 – $449. 

For an online course, The CE Shop is a good one to consider. Feel free to use KW20 to get 20% off if they don’t have a better offer available. Climer and IFREC also offer an online course. Cost is $100 – $299.

State license fee is $89. Apply early. They do background checks, including unpaid, out-of-state fines.

Take the state license exam. Exam Fee is $31.50 through Pearson. Finger print cost about $75.

Orlando Regional Realtors® Association

Most brokerages, Keller Williams included, require agents to be members of the National Association of Realtors, and the state and local associations. It’s one fee paid to the Orlando Regional REALTORS® Association (ORRA).

MLS Membership

Supra Electronic Lockbox

An eKey or Supra Active Key is required to access homes via the electronic lockbox:

It’s provided as an iPhone or Android app, and the subscription fee is $16.95 / month.

Total Cost

Total is about $1,500 to $2,000, depending on the time of year, and you are in business. Included is a lot of great tools, support, and value from The National Association of REALTORS®, Florida REALTORS®, ORRA, and the MFR MLS.
