Bought and sold a Single Family home in 2015 in Oviedo, FL. We decided to move Labor Day weekend. After scouring the internet and reading reviews I left a message on the Jean Scott website (and a few others) that Sunday afternoon. On Monday (Labor Day) Tom Scott phoned; I couldn’t believe that someone called us back over a long holiday weekend. We spoke of our needs and we set up an interview/appointment for the following Wednesday with our buying agent, Joann. I received multiple emails and contacts over the next two days explaining processes from their entire team. My husband and I met with Joann, explained our wants and needs and went to look at a few houses that very day. We viewed a few more over the weekend and she let us know that a listing had just come on the market and that she thought it would be perfect. We went and looked at the home on Monday and agreed! We put an offer in that night and had a contract on the home the following day. Seriously…a week (and a day) after our decision was made, we had a contract on a new house, in our desired area, with all of what we wanted (including price!). The entire process went super smooth. We used their recommended inspectors, and some service providers for the home (to update floors and paint). We closed with no issues, on time and had our keys in hand at closing. We met with Karen, our selling agent and completed all of our paperwork with no issues. She was able to show us how much she thought our home would sell for, how to set the home up to show and what we needed to do throughout the entire process. I think this was really important. Seeing the market analysis and listing the home at what the home would be valued at is huge. They met with us to take photos and a video to showcase our home. We listed the home on Friday and had not one but FOUR offers by Sunday and a signed contract for our full asking price on Monday. Again, we were walked through the process by Karen and the entire team. The home closed with no issues. They even met us at my husbands office to sign closing paperwork. I have many friends that have moved over the past several years, and no one’s experience was what ours has been. We feel that we were supported through the process and whenever we had questions, they were answered extremely timely. Our move was about as stress free as one could be. Bought and sold a Townhouse home in 2015 in Sanford, FL. We could not have selected a better real estate agency than the Jean Scott Team. They helped sell our townhome in Sanford and purchase a new home in Oviedo. We originally chose Karen Chmilinsky as our selling agent after finding out that she is also a state certified appraiser which is what we were looking for. Karen did extensive research to figure out what the best listing price was for our location and the current market. She was also very helpful in suggesting staging tips to help our home look great for the professional photographer (provided by The Jean Scott Team, free of charge) which helped to convey how wonderful our home truly was to prospective buyers. Karen was very informative and took the time to answer all of our many questions. Karen’s hard work paid off as we received an offer almost immediately! On the buying side, Jean Scott and Tom Scott helped us through a challenging situation with a home that we fell in love with. The purchase wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped for (due to issues on the sellers side) but with their diligence we were able overcome the issues and still close. They kept us in the loop every step of the way and had completely open communication with us. Most of all they never gave up and stood up for our needs/wants in the transaction. Bought a Townhouse home in 2015 in Oviedo, FL. Buying a home when you are 6,500 miles away is never an easy thing to do. It was our dream and our entire life savings. We contacted the Jean Scott team via email. Thomas Scott who responded to our inquiry was very detailed in his response taking the time to make sure we knew what was needed and how to proceed. He then put us in touch with Leah Smith. What a wonderful human being. She new the market like the back of her hand. She went out and made special videos for each property that we showed interest in. She was most responsive to any and all of our endless inquires. Very patient and understanding. She provided the best honest advice on the different properties and helped us submit the several offers we made. We could not have represented ourselves in contract negotiations as she has represented us, and she scheduled inspections and was there on our behalf. We arrived in Orlando for the final walk through and closing, that was when we finally met Leah face to face. Today because of Leah we proudly and happily can say we own a home. Bought a Single Family home in 2015 in Oviedo, FL. The Jean Scott team, and others helped us buy our first Florida home. Jean took us around to look at numerous homes and was knowledgeable about every one. The home was purchased within 45 days. This could of not been done with out the help of Laci Burkes who did a tremendous amount of behind the scenes work. Thank you Laci. Last, but not forgotten was Thomas Scott, Operations Manager for The Jean Scott Team. It was Tom who spent hours keeping us up to date on the process, seeing that all the necessary papers were signed, etc. Always returning our calls and answering our questions. With the VA being slow on completing my Certificate of Eligibility for my VA loan it was Tom who, after days of trying made a telephone connection and was put on hold with the VA for 35 minutes and was finally able to get it completed.
